Harbor Springs Cycling Classic

This is a classic! For more than 15 years this ride has been a favorite of cyclists from all over the state. The semi annual tour, held in Spring and Fall, has three distance routes to choose from, great refreshment stops and a BBQ lunch at the finish. Weekend lodging packages are available.

Northern Michigan Cycling Adventures

Led by a USA Cycling certified coach, this training camp will help you fine-tune your skills and build your endurance. Being based at Birchwood Inn allows you to ride some of the best roads or trails in northern Michigan. Join an existing camp date or arrange a private camp for your whole group.

Springfed Writer's Retreat

Welcome writers and poets, new and established. Attend workshops, readings, and provocative panel discussions. If you are simply fascinated with the written word, then you are encouraged to attend for a glimpse into the process of the writer's craft.

Quilting, Embroidery and Knitting

Have a passion for hand work? Special retreats are held every Spring and Fall at the Inn by multi-media instructor J.D. Shumway and her staff. Join an existing date or arrange a new one for your whole group.

Lamb's 's Retreat for Songwriters

John D. Lamb with Springfed Arts, has a knack for bringing together inspirational instructors and musicians that will help you create. Two late fall retreats are held at Birchwood Inn each year.
