Visiting Birchwood Inn is a bit like donning a pair
of favorite dungarees and a soft flannel shirt. Comfortable. Casual. Cozy.
With a sense of the North Country in Michigan. The large grassy courtyard
filled with birch trees, a shuffleboard court and a heated swimming pool,
add to the atmosphere of the Inn. A seasoned friendly staff can
provide lots of information for your stay in Harbor Springs, tailored
to your individual desires.
Built in the early '60's as a corporate retreat for New Era Potato Chips, Birchwood Inn has been carefully preserved by the present owner with the lodge aura intended by the builders. The motif continues to have the wood beams, panelled walls, plaid papers and upholstery which continue the tradition. The Fireside Room off the main lobby is dominated by a large fieldstone fireplace and casual furnishings where a complimentary continental breakfast is served.
